Dan, RTD Founder

Dan was born and raised in Germany by a single mother and an older sister on well fare. At the age of 16 he took a one way ticked on his own to move to the United States. When he arrived at the airport in Portland, Oregon nobody showed to pick him up. The family he had arranged to live with for the time being, left him there to dry. By the grace of God, he was able to navigate the many challenges which are unavoidable for a teen in such a position. After finishing High School, he graduated from William Jessup University in California with a bachelor degree in Theology and Counseling Psychology as well as a certificate in Sports Ministry. During his time at Jessup he played varsity basketball all four years. A career ending injury in Germany the following season cut his professional career short. After several more years of adversity, Dan decided the only way he could make sense of what has happened, is to use his experiences to help others. He realized that by helping young people achieve their dreams, he would redeem his own. And so Redeem The Dream, Inc. was born in November of 2013. In addition, he founded the RTD Sports Agency, LLC., which is a project that helps basketball players with high character in unconventional life situations develop a professional career in Europe against all odds. Southern Indiana Business Magazine voted him to their 2018 class of the areas top 20 leaders under the age of 40. Further, Dan successfully completed a three year ordination process with the Church of God, Anderson, and hosts a weekly Redeem The Dream podcast. This podcast is available on Apple iTunes, Stitcher and Podbean. He is married to the love of his life, Ariane. Together they have the privilege of enjoying their three beautiful children, Elisha Daniel, Esther Ariane and Ezekiel Joseph.
